We hope this time is fruitful for you and your family as you disciple your child to know Jesus more and more!
Memory Verse:
I will spend time thinking about everything you have done.
Recap from this Sunday:
After His death on the cross, Jesus appears to two of His followers as they are walking on the road to Emmaus. At first they don’t recognize Him, but Jesus opens their eyes to the surprising truth that He is alive.

THIS WEEK AT HOME:
Families, use this to prompt conversations at the table, in the car, and anywhere else your family experiences life together.
After Jesus died, two of His followers were feeling doubtful, sad, and confused as they walked about seven miles from Jerusalem to Emmaus. Suddenly, Jesus paid them a surprise visit. Although the two followers didn’t recognize Him at first, Jesus explained what the Scriptures said about the Messiah (about Him!). Then He surprised the two even further by opening their eyes to recognize Him, proving that He really was alive! They walked back to Jerusalem and told the disciples what had happened.
Invite the whole family to go on a two-part walk outside. Set a timer for seven minutes, and as you travel away from home, encourage each other to physically express how the two Jesus-followers felt as they walked to Emmaus (for example, you might walk at a slow pace, hang your head low, drag your feet, etc.). When the timer goes off, everyone will stop, turn around, and shout, “Surprise!” Set the timer for seven minutes again, and as you travel back home, encourage each other to walk with more pep in your step, knowing that Jesus is alive!
