Hi Parents!

Week of January 19, 2025

Welcome to JAM time! This is where you can guide your kids through a fun and engaging "Jesus and Me" time. Attached are a coloring sheet from this week's lesson and a fun activity you can do at home. We hope this time is fruitful for you and your family as you disciple your child to know Jesus more and more!

Memory Verse:

Jesus is the image of God, who is invisible.

—from Colossians 1:15

Recap from this Sunday:

After Jesus fasts for 40 days and nights, Satan tempts Him three times. Each time, Jesus answers the tempter by quoting Scripture and does not sin, choosing instead to trust God.

Wonder Truth: Jesus Was Tempted and Never Sinned Scripture: Matthew 4; Hebrews 4

THIS WEEK AT HOME:

FAMILY CONVERSATIONS

Families, use this to prompt conversations at the table, in the car, and anywhere else your family experiences life together.

Walk it! Act it! Move It! Temptation Floor

Using construction paper or paper plates, each family member writes (or draws) one idea to battle against temptation onto a piece of construction paper or a paper plate. Some examples are pray, memorize a Bible verse, ask for help, take a walk, count to 10. Then everyone decides on one extra idea as a family and writes that onto a final piece of construction paper or paper plate. Use an open floor space (such as the living room) to navigate safely from one side of the room to the other. Pretend the floor is temptation—it you step on it, you’re out! Everyone must cross the room by stepping on your family’s construction paper or paper plate ideas, laying each on the ground as you go. Travel in a single file line, with each person stepping on one paper or plate at a time. The last person in line will pass the unused papers or plates forward so the first person can place them on the floor and step forward.
