<aside> 👋 Welcome to the equipping track! This is a series of equipping videos that go along with the Lifegroup Leader Minibook. We ask that all interning Lifegroup leaders go through these and discuss what they're learning with their Lifegroup leader or Zone Pastor. Lifegroup leaders should make space during the internship process for new leaders to lead out in these various areas.

THE WAY OF JESUS & THE EARLY CHURCH
When Jesus called his followers, He called them into a small community who were also learning to follow Jesus. They were different than one another. They had their own struggles. They fell short time and time again. They shared their successes and failures together. Most of all, they were with Jesus together. Over time, they grew closer to Jesus, more like Jesus, and were empowered to do the things Jesus did.
When the church formally began in the book of Acts, they immediately began meeting not only in the temple (large corporate gatherings), but also house to house. The core DNA of the church that changed the world (we see in Acts 2:42-47) was primarily formed and lived out in small groups in house to house settings. In fact, while large Sunday gatherings are uniquely necessary and biblical, the depth of relationship and actually living out of our faith (gifting, serving, loving) requires smaller gatherings.
LIFEGROUP AT ANTIOCH
Lifegroups are space for people to have meaningful relationships centered around encountering Jesus, becoming more like Him, and living out of faith throughout the week.
Therefore, Lifegroups are the core of our church strategy of how we love people and make disciples well.
In light of that, your role as Lifegroup Leader is an essential and highly valued leadership and shepherding role in our church.
For Lifegroups to be as powerful and effective as they can be, it's important that we have clarity on some terms around Lifegroup and wins for Lifegroup.
