This newsletter is designed to keep you updated on everything happening in Kids Ministry—from sermon series and upcoming events to discipleship resources and practical tools. But more than that, our heart is to share the vision behind what we do and to equip you with meaningful ways to disciple your kids at home—helping them grow a passion for Jesus and His purposes in the earth.

God invites us to be like Jesus. But how? And is it even possible? It is possible. It requires faith, humility, and a willingness to allow the Holy Spirit to work in our hearts and minds. The more we trust Jesus with everything in our lives, the more others will see Him in us. We will begin to change.
Little by little the fruit of the Spirit’s work will show and grow. In fact, there may come a time when it’s impossible not to see Jesus in our lives! What would that look like? Paul gives us a list of things that show up in the life of a faithful follower.
But the fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being patient, kind and good. It is being faithful and gentle and having control of oneself. —Galatians 5:22–23a (NIrV)
As we begin this journey of being like Jesus, know that it’s not about what you have to do. It’s about what He does for you. Jesus is faithful, loving, and good. The calling to be like Him is an invitation to allow for growth and change, to walk with Him each day, and to trust that His Spirit is at work because He cares about every part of our lives.

Lydia Mena-Hill is joining our Kids Ministry Team and we couldn’t be more excited!
If you haven’t met Lydia yet, she serves often in our younger kids classroom. Lydia and her husband Eric have been a part of our church family for about 7 years and have since had their little girl, Trinity! Lydia is a Special Education Elementary Teacher. She is gifted in so many ways! We are so thankful that she will be part of making Kids Ministry even better.
